FlavHer is a women-focused wellness, recovery, resources and community brand created to help women access practical support, meaningful experiences, trusted recommendations, self-care tools and resilience and recovery resources. This FlavHer website redesign and Wix-to-WordPress migration case study explains how I rebuilt the website on WordPress and prepared the platform for future growth.
The project was not only a technical migration. The real transformation was giving FlavHer a clearer digital home for wellness content, community events, resource partnerships, newsletter growth and ecommerce, while protecting the existing URL value from the previous Wix website.

The Business Goal
FlavHer needed a website that could support more than a simple brand presence. The new structure had to make space for wellness resources, recovery-focused content, community events, trusted partnerships, ecommerce products, newsletter growth and future service expansion.
The site also needed to feel welcoming and credible for women looking for self-care guidance, burnout recovery support, emotional wellness resources, community experiences and practical tools for protecting their peace.
The Challenge
The existing website was built on Wix, but the brand needed a more flexible foundation. FlavHer was expanding beyond its original self-care positioning and needed a clearer structure around four core areas: wellness, recovery, resources and community.
A second challenge was migration risk. When a website moves from Wix to WordPress, old URLs can easily break if the migration is handled only as a design rebuild. Pages, blog posts, products and categories need to be reviewed and redirected carefully so visitors and search engines can move from the old structure to the new one.
My Strategy
I approached the project as a platform transformation. The website needed to explain what FlavHer stands for, guide visitors into the right next step, and give the brand room to publish, promote events, sell products and build partnerships without needing another rebuild soon after launch.
For search visibility, the strategy focused on clean page hierarchy, descriptive headings, clear entity signals, internal pathways, migration-safe redirects and content sections that answer the questions a wellness founder, community organizer or resource-based brand would naturally ask before hiring a WordPress developer.
Work Completed
Wix-to-WordPress Migration and Redirect Setup
I migrated FlavHer from Wix to WordPress and reviewed the existing website URLs before launch. I then created and implemented 301 redirects from the old Wix pages, articles, product pages, and category URLs to the most relevant pages on the new WordPress website.
This helped prevent broken links, maintain a smooth visitor experience, and preserve as much existing search visibility and SEO value as possible during the domain migration.
Elementor Website Redesign
I rebuilt the website using WordPress and Elementor, creating a more flexible layout system that can be updated as FlavHer adds new resources, events, campaigns, products and partner content.
Homepage Structure and Brand Positioning
The homepage was structured to communicate FlavHer’s purpose quickly: resilience, wellness, self-care, healing, community and practical tools for women. The page gives visitors a clearer understanding of what the brand offers and how to engage with it.
Wellness Resources and Blog Structure
I created a structure for publishing wellness resources, educational articles, recovery content and practical guides. This gives the brand a stronger foundation for future content marketing and long-term organic visibility.
Community Events Page Development
A dedicated community and events structure was added so FlavHer can promote wellness walks, Pilates experiences, brunches, pop-ups and future community initiatives. The structure supports event information, venue details, availability and registration flow.
Trusted Resources and Partnerships
I created a section where FlavHer can present trusted wellness resources and partnership opportunities for professionals, studios, healthcare providers, community organizations, wellness brands and local businesses.
WooCommerce Shop Structure
The project included a WooCommerce shop structure for products, digital resources and future ecommerce growth. This gives FlavHer a more scalable way to manage wellness products and self-care essentials within WordPress.
Newsletter and Lead Generation Forms
I added lead-generation paths for visitors who want to join the mailing list, download resources or contact the brand. These forms help turn casual visitors into a reachable community audience.
SEO-Friendly Website Structure
The website was organized with clearer titles, headings, page relationships and content sections. The goal was to make the site easier for users to navigate and easier for search systems to understand after the migration.

Why This Project Matters
Wellness and community websites need more than attractive pages. They need trust, calm navigation, clear resource pathways and a structure that can grow as the organization grows. For FlavHer, the migration created a stronger base for content, events, products and partnerships.
The redirect work was also important. A redesign can look successful on launch day but still damage search visibility if old URLs are ignored. Reviewing Wix URLs and setting up 301 redirects helped protect the visitor journey and reduce migration risk.
